Shuttle racking systems use electric shuttle carriers (or “shuttle machines”) to efficiently load and unload pallets within rack channels. This allows multiple pallets to be stored in blocks, maximizing space and operational efficiency.
Designed to work with forklifts, pallets are first placed on the shuttle rail. The operator then positions the load on the shuttle, which moves along the rail and is controlled remotely. The shuttle lifts the pallet and transports it safely to its designated rack position, returning to the starting point afterward. When retrieving a pallet, the shuttle moves to the rack level and automatically brings the nearest pallet to the front for easy access.
